Transportation Testing
Transportation Testing
What is this?
Transportation testing is carried out to determine how a packaged product will perform under simulated conditions. This testing simulates the robustness of the product and its packaging when shipped around the world by road, rail and air exposing the product to various climatic conditions, vibration and compression from the various modes of transport.
Why is this performed?
Performing transportation testing can be advantageous for a wide variety of reasons. It can:
- Validate package performance - Does the packaging protect the product?
- Reduce product damage in air, rail and road transit.
- Introduce an appropriate level of package protection.
- Evaluate whether cost savings can be made.
- Increase warranty savings.
- Improve customer satisfaction.
Anecto has the expertise to implement a range of tests that will simulate the typical hazards that your package will encounter in the distribution cycle.
